The Rams continued to battle in the second stanza. After a lay-up by St. Joseph's Irina Krasnoshiok with 18:01 to play, the Rams scored seven consecutive points over the next 2:29 to close the gap to 20 (42-22). King keyed the rally with five points and an assist. In the second half, URI held the Hawks to just 15 points - its best defensive effort of the season - and outscored St. Joseph's, 19-15. King scored all 10 of her points in the half.

The Rams (7-6, 0-1 Atlantic 10) begin a three-game road trip at Massachusetts on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
